Training 4: Endorsements
In this training, you will go through the Endorsements section in detail. You will get to know how to add a Non-Premium Bearing Endorsements, Premium Bearing Endorsements and Negative-Premium Bearing Endorsements into the system.

1. What are Non-Premium Bearing Endorsements?
To initiate an endorsement request, click on “+” > Add Business > Endorsement Request. Now you will be navigated to the Add Endorsements Request page.
Here you need to search and select the client as well as the policy. Now the software will display all the related details. You will have the provision to attach documents. You can scroll down and enter the endorsement request date here. Also under the Remarks section, enter the scenario of why the premium amount was not charged. Finally, click on Save to complete the process.
Now we are at the Policies Converted page. On the left-hand side of the list, you can see PL and EN. PL corresponds to Policies and EN to Endorsements.
Select the corresponding endorsement and click on the Endorsement Awaited button as soon as you receive the endorsement document. Now you will be taken to the Add Endorsement page where you can enter the endorsement number, check the endorsement request date, and enter the endorsement issue date and end date. Now cross-check for any bifurcations. Also, make sure you have attached the endorsement document.
If the endorsement document is supposed to send via email, then check to Send to Client and Delivered. Now choose the mode of dispatch By Email and check the rest of the details. Now click Save to complete the process.
Now if you check, the current status has been changed from Endorsement Awaited to Delivered. You can click and expand and view the summary details here. This is the entire journey of non-premium bearing endorsements.

2. What are Premium Bearing Endorsements?

Here you need to enter the amount received from the client, choose the mode of payment, and attach files if any. Now click Save to complete the process.
Now you can see that the premium has been recorded to that policy.
Now when you receive the endorsement document, click on the Endorsement Awaited button. Now you will be taken to the Add Endorsement page, you can see the premium details displayed here. You can now enter the endorsement number, check the endorsement request date, and enter the endorsement issue date and end date. Now cross-check for any bifurcations. Also, make sure you have attached the endorsement document.

3. What are Negative Premium Bearing Endorsements?

Here you have to wait for an endorsement document to proceed with the negative premium bearing endorsements. Now when you receive the endorsement document, click on the Endorsement Awaited button. You can now enter the endorsement number, check the endorsement request date, and enter the endorsement issue date and end date. Now cross-check for any bifurcations. There is also another scenario if the client is a retail customer. When he has received the amount in his/her account, he/she has to acknowledge that he/she has received the amount. To record this amount you can use the Add Refund button.
For corporate customers, sometimes the amount gets adjusted in the customer CD balance, please ignore Add Refund in this scenario.
